SO, we have our wedding colors picked out. We are going to use black, white, and burgundy. I think these colors will go together very nicely, and it will be colors that reflect Jason and I. We both love black, and I have always liked the combination of black and white. My dishes are black and white, my little notes I pick out are always black and white, and I feel there is just something classically elegant about black and white together. And the wine colored burgundy is one of Jason's favorites. I have always thought it was very pretty as well. I am looking forward to hunting for all the pretty flowers and combinations of flowers that will go well together within our color scheme. And Eileen has graciously offered to help look, so she can help hunt it all down!!
I have always been a big fan of peonies. I love their fullness and their uniqueness. Unfortunately, they are typically only available in the spring (bummer for a summer wedding!) and you must pay to import them, perhaps lending itself to the uniqueness of the flower. I started asking about the availability of peonies during the summer, and I found out that unfortunately, if you do find them, they often are not as pretty as during the spring. Alas, all is not lost....did you know there are several varieties of ROSES that closely mimic the peony? I recently came across a few varieties, and I think I have found some bouquet inspiration....but first, can you pick out the peonies?
Is it Option 1-
Or Option 2?
So, I think they look pretty silimiar myself...but the roses are option 1, and the peonies are option 2. So, I am thrilled that they appear so similar and I can look into these an another option for the bouquet.
